The National Vietnam War Museum has added a new fundraising concept to its efforts. During the summer, museum donation stations began appearing in various locations in North Texas, among them Albertson’s and IHOP, in Weatherford, and Brookshires and True Value Hardware in Mineral Wells.
These four-color, freestanding kiosks contain images of the Vietnam War, logos of the five US services that participated, and brief statements about the mission of the museum. In addition, an attached literature rack contains museum brochures and donation envelopes for those who wish to mail in their contributions or be added to the museum’s mailing list.
