“A great building must begin with the unmeasurable, must go through measurable means when it is being
designed and in the end must be unmeasurable.” -Louis Kahn
Jim Messinger, Museum Treasurer became the first non-construction person to stand on the completed second floor (pictures attached, big holes in the floor are where the stairs go. Northeast is dark, no lights yet, others get outdoor light from our overhead door).
Monday July 1, the building will receive a coating of foam insulation, covered with fire proof paint as required by code. This process will take three weeks. After insulation the floor installer will begin their magic. The floor will be cut and polished concrete as found in many commercial buildings around the world. By the end of July, Oncor (electricity provider) plans to have power to the building and electric subcontractor will begin running wires inside. Watch our website for future developments.
