The museum asks that all field trips call ahead to ensure the appropriate number of tour guides are available. The museum library is open during operation hours. Access to archives and restricted areas can be requested by emailing the museum director.

The research library at The National Vietnam War Museum contains hundreds of titles, including Department of Defense materials and Fort Wolters guides.
