The National Vietnam War Museum is committed to welcoming its visitors and providing them with high quality exhibits and artifacts. To ensure they have an enjoyable experience at the Museum, we use the services of volunteers to answer their questions about the Museum and its exhibits or assist them with their purchase of items from the Gift Shop.

Our volunteers truly make a difference. The Museum could not open without them. We are looking to recruit people who enjoy volunteering and are eager to learn new things. We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply for volunteer positions at the Museum. Interested individuals should feel comfortable working with our visitors of diverse abilities, ages, and backgrounds. Our volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. No special experience is required, and any needed training will be provided for all of our volunteer positions.

Every year, Museum volunteers are recognized for their efforts at a special luncheon. Awards are presented to the Top 10 Volunteers based on their hours of service.

Did you order a challenge coin from our mailing campaign? Have you been waiting FOREVER for it? We totally understand the frustration. We don't personally engrave them, and unfortunately, the engraver has notified us they are VERY backed up....like not a few weeks, more like a few months!! Trust me, that's as painful for us to tell you as it is for you to hear!

If you just ordered, please know it will take 12-16 weeks to process all the orders and get the coins engraved and mailed out to you. Please accept our sincerest apologies. The backlog situation is completely out of our hands. YOU WILL GET YOUR COIN! That we promise.
